Commitment

Many people believe that being in a Fraternity means that your life becomes about the Fraternity. In our Fraternity, that is not the case. Ski Team Captain Brother Trevor O'ConnellWe have Brothers that span all the University's campuses, who are involved in many other activities outside of the Fraternity. Our brotherhood can be found editing the Daily Targum, involved in Concert Organizations on Livingston Campus, involved with the Ski Team, Red Shirting, and refereeing Intramural Sports. If you are looking to take a more political route, you can find Skull Brothers in the RCGA and in the University Senate.

Scholarship

At Phi Kappa Sigma, we do not take academics lightly. We make sure our New Members have ample time to study during the week, which is why our New Member GPA was recently 2nd highest among the Greeks. It is not uncommon for a new member to drastically improve their grades while being involved in Phi Kappa Sigma. Our Chapter GPA is among the top for any organization on campus. Many of our brothers make the Dean's list and receive other academic accolades. We even have a database dedicated to passing on class assistance such as notes and study tips from generation to generation.

Athletics

Greek organizations have their own intramural league, called the Keller Cup. Our football team won the championship two years ago, and was nearly undefeated again this year. We have made it far in the playoffs in many of the other sports, and are always considered formidable competition for other fraternities. Outside of Keller you can always find brothers for pick up games, lifting at the gym or any other athletic endeavor.

Once a Phi Kap, Always a Phi Kap

Founding Father Samuel Brown Wylie Mitchell Being a Phi Kappa Sigma brother isn't just a four year commitment. Nearly every week we get visits from our alumni. We have more alumni showing up at our homecoming then other fraternities, we have various events like formals and other outings where undergraduates can network with successful alumni. It is not rare to find multiple Men of the Skull working together after college because as brothers, we are looking out for each other and capitalizing upon employment opportunities.

Values

Our anti-hazing policy truly distinguishes us from other fraternities. All fraternities have a national No Hazing policy but unfortunately many chapters ignore this. We ask, How can you treat a man like a dog and then turn around and call him your brother? Our chapter was founded in 1990 upon the beliefs that any demeaning, demoralizing, or otherwise nonconstructive acts will not be tolerated in any degree.
